Romain Grosjean holds joint Swiss and French nationalities and by his own admission starting his career in motorsport at a relatively late age, 14.
From karting, Grosjean worked his way up the motorsports ladder and in 2006 was competing in the F3 Euroseries, taking the championship the following year.
For 2008, Grosjean steps up to the GP2 category with ART Grand Prix. His debut in the new Asia series in Dubai saw him take back-t-back victories and is now firm favourite for the main GP2 championship this year.
In addition, Grosjean takes over as test driver for the Renault F1 team from Nelson Piquet Jr.
