Heidfeld and BMW Sauber at the top of the laps tally
|
Four races into the season, BMW Sauber has completed more laps than any other Formula One team. The F1.08 is proving to be very reliable as well as being quick.
With 35 points already picked up from four races in the 2008 Formula One season, the team from Munich and Hinwil is only one point away from equalling its final points tally of the 2006 campaign.
This is a clear indication of the meteoric rise the BMW Sauber F1 Team has made into the group of top Formula One teams over the last 24 months.
However, the World Championship points are not the only proof of the team's positive development, as the team leads the way when it comes to reliability: no car has completed more racing laps in 2008 than the BMW Sauber F1.08.
After four races, Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica have completed 463 laps in their cars, representing 2,408 kilometres. Of these, Kubica is responsible for 226, while Heidfeld has completed 237 laps.
This also means that the German driver has more laps under his belt than all the other 21 Formula One drivers.
