Zoom High hopes for the Monaco Grand Prix

With Nico Rosberg at the wheel, Williams last week conducted a 50 kilometre shakedown with its Monaco-specification FW30 car at the Ferrari-owned Italian circuit Mugello, located near Florence. Yesterday Luca Badoer shook down the two F2008s at Fiorano for use by Ferrari at Monaco.

Following his motorcycle outing in Germany last weekend, former champion Michael Schumacher will now make his way to Monte Carlo to attend the Monaco Grand Prix with Ferrari.

Lewis Hamilton on Sunday won the Sport Award at the Britain's Best 2008 awards. The Briton accepted the award via videolink, and the trophy was collected on Lewis' behalf, and in the presence of Prime Minister Gordon Brown, by his father and manager Anthony Hamilton.

The winners were chosen by a panel of British greats. The ceremony, which took place at The London Studios in the heart of the capital, will be aired on British television on Friday.
