New markets key for Ecclestone and F1
|
Bernie Ecclestone on Friday admitted India is unlikely to join the Formula One calendar in 2010.
A race in New Delhi was slated, but the F1 Chief Executive told reporters in Singapore that he has set a target of 2011 for the country's Grand Prix debut.
"These things take time," Ecclestone said.
"Probably 2011 is what I want.
"
India's first F1 driver, Narain Karthikeyan, said last week that he also doubted the country could be ready to host a race in 2010.
