"The competition was hard and even when people like Duval came out who hadn't done any running, they were also going fast. The competition today was very tough but we were very well prepared and obviously I know the track well so in the end it worked out. In race pace, I think we are going to gain even more because the Michelin tyres are much more consistent."
With Brazil, China, France and Portugal only arriving in Zandvoort this morning, an extra practice has been scheduled from 07:50 – 08:40 for these four teams ahead of the racing. For Zandvoort only the Sprint race will not have a mandatory pit stop, but the two scheduled for the Feature race will still happen.
Missing from the Zandvoort line-up is the car of A1 Team Pakistan. The team tested at Snetterton during the week, but found its driver, Adam Khan, was not able to drive safely due to the constraints of the chassis.
The team was forced to make the decision not to race and now A1GP will work to rectify this situation so Khan can race the car from A1GP Chengdu, China onwards. This meant the chassis was taken over by A1 Team Switzerland who had initially lost the race against time to have their car ready for the weekend.
