A 64-year-old at the wheel of the R27

Big fun for Laffite

Former Grand Prix winner Jacques Laffite, 64, has tested a modern Renault Formula One car.

At the Paul Ricard circuit, the Frenchman - who raced 180 times in the 1970s and 1980s and is now a commentator for the French broadcaster TF1 - drove last year's Renault R27.

The car Laffite drove is usually part of the Renault Roadshow programme; the display was part of a marketing event to be featured during a pre-race televison presentation.
