Piquet to put on a show for the home crowd
As part of its 2008 Roadshow programme, the Renault F1 Team prepares for its final demonstration of the year this Sunday on the streets of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

After Johannesburg, Rotterdam, Kiev, Lisbon and most recently New Delhi, Renault has put plans in place for a much anticipated demonstration in Sao Paulo. With recently confirmed 2009 driver Nelson Piquet set to be in the driving seat, demonstrating the car in front of his home crowd, the event promises to be very special.

The 1.1-kilometre track in Sao Paulo's Ibirapuera Park has been especially designed for the event and will include the Pedro Alvares Cabral Avenue, which will take the R27 in front of the Das Bandeiras monument. The spectacular route should help ensure that the Renault team put on an extraordinary display in a warm and relaxed atmosphere, which is what the Roadshow programme is all about.

"It's a great feeling for me to take part in this demonstration at home in Brazil! Formula 1 is a very popular sport in Brazil and my compatriots will have the opportunity to see and hear our car in this special event. I'm sure there will be an amazing atmosphere and I'm really looking forward to being there," Piquet declared.

The Renault F1 Team will soon announce plans and destinations for an even more ambitious Roadshow Programme in 2009.
