Williams Toyota were back on track again today as the Grove-based team look to wrap up its 2008 testing programme.
Occasional test driver Nico Hulkenberg was drafted in for the teat in Spain and completed 100 laps of the 4.428km circuit, his best lap of 1:20.704s coming on his 75th tour. The German was slowest of the five runners today.
Hulkenberg worked on set-up, aero optimisation and slick tyre development in preparation for 2009.
“Nico Hulkenberg started our three day test in Jerez this week and continued work on our winter development programme," said Test Team Manager Dickie Stanford.
"Despite a damp track this morning which restricted our time on track, Nico completed 100 laps of tyre testing and had no technical issues."
"Kazuki takes over the FW30B tomorrow for the remaining two days of the test," he concluded.
