Bourdais is being shown the way by rookie Buemi
|
Under pressure Sebastien Bourdais has been left unimpressed by Sebastien Loeb for publicly staking a claim on his endangered Toro Rosso race seat.
Loeb, the five-time World Rally Champion, threw his name into the ring amid unconfirmed speculation his fellow Frenchman Bourdais might be ousted after Sunday's German Grand Prix.
Bourdais, clearly irked by speculation regarding his future in the series, said after qualifying last at the Nurburgring:
"He wants to race in F1, that's normal, it's his right. But that's not how you do it.
"
The former Champ Car star however did himself few favours today at the Nurburgring as he was the slowest of the 20 runners and was again out-qualified by his rookie team-mate Sebastien Buemi.
While Loeb is keen to race in Formula One following a test last year with the team, it is more likely that current British F3 champion and Red Bull protégé Jaime Alguersuari would take any potential vacancy.
