An almost impossible task for Grosjean
|
Romain Grosjean believes it would be "stupid" if his formula one career is ended after a mere seven grand prix. The Frenchman was drafted in to replace the ousted Nelson Piquet at Renault, but according to widespread speculation is not tipped to be retained for 2010.
Grosjean has struggled to keep up with his team-mate Fernando Alonso in the uncompetitive R29, but he vowed in Abu Dhabi to fight "until the end" to fend off the advances of potential replacements including Timo Glock.
"I'm a fighter until the end. I am very motivated to stay," he is quoted as saying by the French press. "I have to wait for the decision of the team.
It would be stupid to do only seven races with a car down in performance. If the story stops here, it would be a complete mess.”
