14.30Welcome to F1-Live.com and live coverage of the 58-lap Turkish Grand Prix. The race gets underway in just over 30 minutes.
14.32Felipe Massa has claimed his third straight pole position at this circuit and is looking to take his third victory in Turkey. The Ferrari driver set a best time of 1:27.617s, nearly two-tenths clear of the field.
14.34Heikki Kovalainen starts second in the leading McLaren Mercedes, his first front row start in Formula One. Lewis Hamilton lines up third in the second McLaren ahead of Kimi Raikkonen.
14.36Given recent history, Felipe Massa is favourite to win the Turkish Grand Prix as Ferrari has won all but the opening race of the season in Melbourne. Kovalainen, Hamilton and Raikkonen cannot be discounted however as they seek to keep Massa under pressure.
14.38Robert Kubica lines up fifth in his BMW Sauber and will be looking to try and make headway with the leading two teams on the grid. The team were not happy with qualifying yesterday, especially Nick Heidfeld who starts ninth. Heidfeld has proven he can make progress in race conditions and will be challenging behind the leading two teams.
14.40Mark Webber leads the Red Bull Renault challenge from sixth position on the grid with team-mate David Coulthard in tenth. Given the time gap between the two in qualifying, it would seem that Coulthard is fuelled heavy and will run a long first stint, while Webber is on a lighter fuel load like those ahead of him on the grid. Points are the team’s target this afternoon.
14.42Fernando Alonso starts seventh in his Renault and will be looking to score some points this afternoon, while team-mate Nelson Piquet needs a clean race after recent poor showings. However, starting ten positions behind his team-mate makes his race a difficult one from the outset.
14.44Jarno Trulli starts eighth in the leading Toyota with Timo Glock back in 15th after a wheel problem blighted his run in qualifying yesterday. Trulli admitted that he qualified higher than expected and he will be looking at those behind him as he looks to score points.
14.46Williams Toyota has slipped back in the last two Grand Prix and are now behind Red Bull, Renault and Toyota. Starting 11th Nico Rosberg will be looking to challenge for points while Kazuki Nakajima starts 16th in the sister FW30.
14.48Brazil 2006 was the last time that Rubens Barrichello scored a point. Making his record 257th start today the Brazilian veteran needs to show that he still has the pace to remain in Formula One beyond the end of the season. The Honda racer lines up 12th ahead of team-mate Jenson Button, so a good start there.
14.50Sebastian Vettel starts from 14th position in the leading Toro Rosso Ferrari. The German racer has yet to finish a Grand Prix so far this year and will be looking for a trouble-free run the chequered flag.
14.52Sebastien Bourdais was left frustrated after qualifying in the second Toro Rosso as he blamed the Force India drivers of ruining his session. He starts ahead of Adrian Sutil who starts ahead of Giancarlo Fisichella who lost a position to his team-mate due to a grid position penalty.
14.54With the Grand Prix taking place in the spring rather than the summer, track temperatures are much lower than normal at this circuit. Bridgestone has also gone for harder tyres this year meaning that grip levels have been an issue for some on the harder prime compound. Qualifying yesterday saw most run the softer option tyre. There will probably be some variation is strategy today.
14.56The drivers are in the cars and it is a semi-overcast and relatively chilly day at Istanbul Park. Hopefully there will be no repeat of an incident this morning that saw Bruno Senna hit a dog on the circuit at full speed. The GP2 racer was fortunate not to be injured and was understandably furious.
14.58There are just 20 cars racing in the series now following the collapse of the Super Aguri Honda team.
14.59The tyre warmers are coming off and the engines are now running.
14.59Hard tyres for Hamilton and Kovalainen, Soft for Raikkonen and Massa.
15.00Felipe Massa leads the field off the dummy grid for the formation lap.

Lap 24Hamilton takes the lead with a great pass under braking at the end of the back straight.
Lap 26Rosberg pits his Williams.
Lap 25Good racing from both Hamilton and Massa.
Lap 25Hamilton is pulling out fast from Massa. Something strange or pure pace?
Lap 26Kovalainen gets near Piquet who then drives off track. Nice and easy for Kovalainen.
Lap 27Bourdais has spun his Toro Rosso off and is stuck in the gravel. He was 14th having a good race.
Lap 27Kovalainen pits his McLaren.
Lap 27Hamilton is pulling out a second a lap from Massa.
Lap 28Raikkonen runs third but he too is dropping time to Massa.
Lap 29Could it be that Hamilton has switched to a three stop strategy?
Lap 30Nick Heidfeld runs fifth in the second BMW Sauber having moves ahead of Alonso and Webber in the pit stops.
Lap 30Piquet makes his first stop.
Lap 31Hamilton now leads Massa by over six seconds with Raikkonen another ten second behind.
Lap 31If Hamilton is ona three stop strategy, he needs a lead of 25s to make it work, which is roughly the gap at the moment to Kubica.
Lap 32Button makes his first stop with Glock right behind.
Lap 32Button and Glock exit together.
Lap 33Hamilton pits with an eight second lead. Another set of hard tyres so yes he will be pitting three times.

Lap 36Piquet makes a good pass on Button in the final sequence of turns. Now Kovalainen passes Button.
Lap 37Barrichello runs 15th and is five seconds Behind Glock. This is not a strong race from the Brazilian in what is a record start.
Lap 39Hamilton is 13 seconds behind leader Massa with Raikkonen just ahead of him. They all have one more stop to make.
Lap 40Alonso still runs in sixth position and seems safe from any attack.
