| Practice earlier today brought a few surprises with Fernando Alonso setting the pace for Renault with a best lap of 1:44.506s, some six-tenths of a second clear of Lewis Hamilton. Nelson Piquet was fourth fastest in the sister R28, just a fraction slower than Felipe Massa in the leading Ferrari. |
